It felt more like the people who were supposed to run the place used it as their own house and occasionally they gave a key to some guests in exchange for money. You get ignored when you walk inside, or when you go out. Staff and friends often occupy the common area to cook and eat there. In the morning they are also not there when we wanted to check out (at 9am), and we had to leave the place through the backdoor, leaving the key for them to find. So to sum it up, service was non-existent. In fact, we almost felt unwelcome. (also, if you would care, the staff is not tibetan, but chinese fyi)
Now the room. First of all, the toilet in our room was covered in piss when we checked in, same for the other guests. And for the grand finale; there were multiple encounters with dogsh*t in the hallway, and one time right in front of our door! On the bright side, the dogs were very nice to us.
