I am staying 10 days in Bangkok, and 6 days in KT Place. They have much better charges, and their rooms are better comparing to the ones you can get from a same class in Pratunam or some other busy city.
The hotel is placed way outside the busy Bangkok, but you can get to MRT or BTS through a bus (route 113, tickets cost 8-9 Baht at the date).
Don't book the hotel if you want to shop around or visit Airport. Nothing interesting is nearby, except you can mix up with real Thai people and the Thai cuisine. 7-elevens are everywhere as usual in BKK, and street food stalls are everywhere. You literally can walk to the bus stop in 3-4 minutes and most Taxi divers usually know the road that the place is on.
Their room service is not the top-notch but they have decent Air Con, and you don't have to deposit your key to turn lights on.
I left my laptop and some valuables in the room, and nobody has touched anything (I'm not sure about the future - I'm still staying here).
Their WiFi is the BEST I've seen in a hotel (I'm a regular traveler) in BKK. Almost hit 9 Mbps, in a city that I sometimes had 0.3 Mbps from a 700 Baht hotel.
They don't offer any restaurant facility but you are few steps away from street food stalls.
Bathroom was very small and I can't even bend a little in it. had no mirror either.
View in the Balcony is blocked by another building and was way too small. There was an A/c machine half there too, in about 1.5m from floor so you can't do anything in the Balcony.
Nonetheless, they are very friendly people, and tries to make you happy without costing you a fortune.
If I'd come again to BKK, I'll definitely stay the majority of non-shopping days here just to save some bucks without living in a cave.
I booked this place for several nights and was glad I did not have to walk door to door looking for somewhere with in budget and standards to sleep. Little did I know that KT Place was not even close to being where they suggest they are on the Booking.com site. I found it, it is much closer to the airport I had just spent 500 Baht to get from. I was not heading back for that much, and had no interest in staying somewhere near an airport??? Could be a good place, I'll never know, just not impressed with their misleading advertising.
