We were having a party weekend nice food drinks and shopping these apartments
were a perfect location for what we needed, fab comfy bed well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom we stayed in app 8 at the top of the building, the only negative we had was the office, we did not get any confirmation on which apartment we were staying in let alone how to get into the place , calling was a nightmare the phone just rings and rings and no one answers we finally found out which appartment we were I and how to get into the building after sitting outside for 30 mins , this has put me off for any future stays which is a shame as the apartments are really nice, there were quite a few comments with the same info maybe it's time to address this as future bookings may be few and far between such a shame
We stayed in Flat 1, in the basement, and it was a super flat, with two large bedrooms and a huge sitting room and big screen TV. Fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. There was a private terrace outside, and the decoration was well done. It's in a great location, a short walk from the town centre. You let yourself in through a key-code system, but there are friendly, helpful staff at the end of the phone if you need them. Two small quibbles. The floors are wooden and the sound-proofing isn't great, and we had heavy-footed guests in the flat above ours. But you get that in hotels, too. Parking is hit and miss. Parking is shared among the flats in a long terrace and when we arrived on Saturday afternoon there was literally just one space left. Sunday was better, but it's worth having a fall-back plan parking-wise as the streets are all double yellow-lined, pretty much. If you were using public transport or a taxi, it'd be perfect.
We stayed in apartment 1 with friends and had a really enjoyable stay. We walked into Cheltenham,
Watched the football and had a good meal in the pub next door with cocktails! Then ambled back to the apartment for more workd cup football on the large tv sitting on the comfy sofa! In the morning we cooked breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and sat around the table together. We then visited nearby upton on severn in the sunshine ~ a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, which we would all do again! The apartment was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed including towels, and the beds were amazingly comfortable!
We originally booked a 2 bed apartment for 3 of us, but were asked before our stay if we could switch to a 1 bed apartment as the 2 bed was no longer available. We were assured there would be a bed set up for the extra person. On arrival there was no extra bed and only 2 towels. After repeatedly ringing the helpline we were reassured a bed would be made up by the evening. No such bed materialised. By 11pm we were informed there was a blow up bed in the wardrobe and the housekeepers would not be arriving at this time so we would have to make do with a double bed and only 2 towels between 3 of us.
I was with my gran and mother, therefore took the blow up bed, naturally it went down so I spent the night at the floor (and paid £30 per night extra person fee for the privilege).
The next day we repeatedly rang the helpline again and were again told a bed would be put up before the evening. At 10pm a man came with our extra towel and another blow up bed. I again spent another night on the floor as once again the bed went down.
When we discussed moving to a smaller apartment we were assured a bed would be added to the room, a blow up bed is NOT a real bed and is certainly not an acceptable. Clearly without the aid of a help desk on site you get in a hotel we were just fobbed off with empty promises until we left, with no apology or no refund in sight.
