Eight months before my family trip to London, I reserved and paid the deposit for the Primrose Hill Apartment on Chalcot Crescent--which by all accounts seemed to be the loveliest one on the website. Approximately two months before the trip, I was informed by Liz that mysteriously, the apartment I had chosen had been "double booked" and my only choice was to accept an inferior apartment that was not located in the Primrose Hill neighborhood. When I questioned this and requested a small discount based the inferior location, Liz abruptly terminated all communication. The deposit was refunded, but no consideration for the aggravation and the fact that it was now impossible to find another suitable apartment for the family vacation. All in all, this agency will not respect the interests of the customer and will put its own monetary goals above all else.
Our family of five (including 3 teenagers) stayed here for a week in July 2013. The location is excellent. It's a five minute walk to Chalk Farm tube station, and about 10 minutes to Camden Town. The area is very safe. We stayed in apartment 6 which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a very nice patio area. My only request would be a guest book where visitors can write down recommendations for places to eat, etc. Highly recommend, and would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I were extremely fortunate to be upgraded to the 2 bedroom garden apartment in Primrose Hill when the initial one bedroom apartment booking was no longer available for our dates. We arrived quite jet lagged from Australia and the forever long flight, however the moment we stepped inside this garden apartment we were re-energized. It is a really beautiful apartment and we loved every minute of our stay there. We were visiting our daughter who was renting around the corner, and loved being able to meet her down the street for a coffee or walk in the stunning Parks at the end of the road. My husband and I found it hard to leave Primrose Hill and do other touristy things in London as there was so much to explore outside our front door. However when we did venture outside the shire, Chalk Farm tube was 5 minutes walk, and central London only about 4 stops away.
We communicated directly with Liz Heavenstone who was there to meet us on arrival and orientate us to the apartment. Liz left fresh flowers, fruit and beautiful teas. I would never stay anywhere else when visiting London again, it met and exceeded all our expectations.
Primrose Hill has to be best part of London for a stay but sadly there are no hotels there apart from ones that are 15 mins on foot so when i found these apartments i was overjoyed. i have now stayed at every single one of the apartments available and have my favourite but they are all fantastic. And I really think the price compared t a hotel is amazing. Sorry to wax on but as a business traveller when you find something good you want to share it.
Primrose Hill Apartments
