Located in the alley way, this hotel is located in one of the places in Saigon where night life is vibrant!
There's also a mini fridge that we can keep our drinks. The breakfast served is simple and nice; coffee/tea with an option to choose how you want the egg to be woth a baguette.
I stayed in this hotel for three nights and it was a very pleasant stay!
The hotel i located in the middle of the touristy backpacker area in Saigon. My room was very nice, quiet and equipped with modern interior, clean refrigerator and A/C.
But the best thing in the hotel was the staff who were always there to help me with my questions. When I told the lady in the reception - Sophie - that I missed to buy a waterpuppet in Hanoi she showed me the exact place on the map where the water puppet theatre in Saigon is located aswell as showtimes and prices. After watching the show - see my other review - I could finally buy the puppet.
When I asked Sophie where I could buy such chinese lantern as the hotel has hanging outside in the front she advised me to go to chinatown and told me how much the approximate price would be for one lantern making sure I would not pay too much in chinatown.
Also the other staffmembers were very helpful and - after doing a bit of ringing around - could tell me where I can find special food I wanted to try in Saigon.
If you are looking for a nice hotel where all your needs will be satisfied I can highly recommend you the Giang Son 2.
The staff are the highlight - they spent a lot of time helping us planning our trip and calling various agents and hotels around Vietnam to get us information.
Room was very clean, not having a window was a shame, in general it was a good room though.
Me and my boyfriend and my sister and her partner stayed here for a few days and it was nothing but perfect for us. Clean, nice, cheap and cheerful. We are only 22 but didn't want to do the whole pack packing hostel thing as I am a clean freak and this was just what we needed. Close to everything, fine neighborhood, much quieter as it's in the alley of of the packbackers street/area. Staff were incredibly helpful with trains, taxis and general directions. Breakfast is basic but nice with eggs baguettes and fruit. Really enjoyed my experience and thought the hotel was brilliant for what we payed!
