An ideal place for two adults and two older teenagers! We had stayed in Agios Prokopios years ago on the 'real cheap',and wished to return for a longer stay! This time we wanted to stay somewhere with a pool, having had a peaceful few days on Syros. I researched as usual and booked online. At first sight, we thought the location on the road may be noisy in August, but we were not worried by it at all. The linked 2 bedded rooms/apartment were simple, but spacious and airy and SO so clean with daily towel change and cleaning. Our balconies overlooked the pool, which again was immaculate and cleaned every night-and a great place to relax....even in mid august! The owners and staff are kind and helpful-as said in previous report, not much English spoken, but everyone managed to communicate -and there were many nationalities staying there! 2 minutes walk to the beach(sand that doesn't stick and beautiful, clear water to swim in!), numerous tavernas and bars and 1 min to the bus stop. The bus takes you into town (10/15 mins) and to other beaches down the coast .Just 10 mins walk to Agia Anna and more options for eating and swimming. So, agree with previous post, a perfect place for relaxing- beach, pool, great value rooms, a low key nightlife and so accessible for everything-and the cleanliness was as good as we have had through many years of Greece!
I've been to this hotel four times during high season. I was traveling with my family, and all we wanted from the vacation was sun, tanning, beach and a pool. So the hotel didn't really matter to us as long as we had a decent place to sleep. And this hotel was perfect for that! It has a private pool and the staff is very friendly - they don't speak/understand much english, though.
But the location of the hotel is what makes it so lovely. It is right next to several supermarkets, drug store, car rental, cafés, internet café, laundry place, restaurants and the beach, of course. Just a 2 minute walk maximum. And the beach is fantastic.
But here comes the negative. If you're the type of guy that needs to have a fancy, good looking hotel to complete your vacation, this is not for you. You can say that you get what you pay for. The bathrooms aren't super. They're a little dark, and the shower doesn't have a cabinet, so you kind of have to sit when you shower. But it is daily cleaning of the rooms, as far as I remember. At least every other day. And in the night time, it comes a lot of mosquitos into the rooms. But as long as you wear something protecting against it, it doesn't really matter.
So, if you want a fancy hotel, don't go here. But if you're like me and just wants a decent place to sleep and wants to concentrate on what's happening outside the hotel, this one works just fine!
