After 2+ weeks trekking, I think we would have preferred a little more comfort than we found at Hotel Half Moon. While it was in a good location, a short walk from the lakeside strip, the staff seemed not to know what to do with us, having limited English and were sometimes nervous, sometimes trying to sell us paragliding or massages through their friend's business. Unreliable hot water service and the ceiling fan and A/C unit didn't work. No room service to tidy room while we were out during the day, but maybe this is normal in Nepal? Still, rubbish in baskets in the hallway remained overflowing for several days. We also had a very noisy group of people occupying the other rooms on our floor, making a lot of noise from 5am until after 11pm. Wishing we had stayed somewhere else.
A decent hotel in the happening town of pokhara. Rooms were spacious, warm, & clean. A sure shot value for money, the only issue one could feel is the location, slightly away from the market street. Staff people are nice & helpful. It even has parking facility.
From te day we arrived to the day we left we were surrounded by excellent service from staff. The room was excellent, clean and enough comfort. The breakfast we could order ourselves was very well presented and we were surrounded by very friendly staff. , eager to have a nice conversation with us.
