This is a motel type property.
We stayed for just one night and, as planned, we had a late arrival around 24h00.
It was a cold February night. The room, although clean and well equipped, was very, very cold.
We tried to warm it with the air conditioning in the maximum power but the warming was really slow so the sleep was rather uncomfortable.
Wanted a travel hotel to arrive to after a long drive and eat at hassle free, off again next morning. This Campanile was easy to find, room exactly as previous stayed in and food the same. For 103 Euro for two of you including all meals value as expected - job done. The only thing I wanted to be better was an extra blanket available in the room - would have improved my sleep quality score.
This was my choice due to localization. But next time I will change it for sure. My room was very dark, and the light in the room was very poor. I expected better room design from Campanile - no old school.
Advantages: nice staff, good breakfast.
We stayed at Hotel Campanile Beaucouze on our way down south.Well placed for easy access to motorway.Staff friendly and polite. The rooms may need a bit of a refurbishment. There is a restaurant at the hotel that you need to book in advance .There is a Courte Paille restaurant next door. Also for Breakfast you can go to the Boulangerie next to Intermarche , 3 minutes driving from the Hotel.
I was expecting the same level of service as in La Ferte Bernard. I was disappointed. There was nowhere to leave our bikes in security despite having warned the hotel that we were travelling with bikes and despite the fact that the meeting room remained unused during our entire stay. It could have been used. We were advised to lock up our bikes outside the room. That was a non-starter. We ended up bringing the bikes into our room.
The weather was very cold for the time of year. The air conditioning only put out cold air. The temperature control DID NOT WORK. An electric radiator had apparently been put out of use during the work to upgrade the room. Also, the heater in the bathroom had had the same treatment.
When asked how we could get some warmth in the room, the manager first replied that it was summer (!!!) and so we could not get any heating. I insisted and he came round and forced the bathroom heating on. It stayed on all night and by keeping the bathroom door open it sort-of heated up the room.
The food was good overall. Dinner was great. Good buffet and good food for breakfast.
