Good location and rooms a decent size . However the rooms are clearly secondary to the bar and restaurant downstairs and this is evident in all aspects . The breakfast was terrible with slow and casual service and no attention eg no glass for juice , 20 mins to take my order. The whole place is grubby and needs a serious revamp . Best to avoid
I originally wrote this review under The Barley as it's changed names. I checked in alone as my husband was working in Truro for the weekend and he was meeting me after his shift at the hospital. The staff were fantastic, so friendly, took my case to my room, which was big, clean, and overlooked the river and cathedral, the bathroom was huge with lovely big walk in shower and loads of storage space. I ate breakfast alone but didn't feel slightest bit lonely, staff were so friendly and the breakfast was delicious, didn't wait long and if you wanted more, you only had to ask. I went for an explore and luckily The Riverbank or Barley now it's called is right in the heart of Truro so couldn't get lost if I tried. I went for a drink in bar waiting for my husband to get back and the bar staff were superb, I can honestly say this is one is the best B&B's I've ever been to and I will definately without a doubt be coming back!!! Perfect. Big thanks to all the staff :)
We enjoyed our weekend getaway here. The room was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom excellent with a superb walk in shower.i didn't have breakfast due to an early start at work, but my wife enjoyed what was on offer. A nice place to stay, a great location next to the cathedral. Would definitely stay again!
Nice place to stay. Good clean room with a modern feel. Great shower room. Very clean and newly finished.
Didn't eat at the hotel but it looked ok. Close to the town centre so plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Only thing is limited parking but the car park across the road is only £1 over night if you pay after 5pm
