We are so happy to have found this cute and quite little bed and breakfast and it is our go to place whenever we need to get out of the city for a weekend. Quick and easy to book (text directly to John).
The place is very clean, has a separate entrance to the main bit of the house, has shampoo etc, John is a lovely bloke and always there if you need anything.
Bed is extremely comfy and the bedding and big towels are beautiful!
Has a central shared living space with a small kitchenette (incl fridge) (no stove) which we found handy, table and sofa. You can have breakfast outside, where there is also a BBQ and surf shower. Breakfast is always delightful (continental).
We have compared prices with a lot of other places in Byron and for $150 a room per night this place is very good value for Byron standards. About a 10 mins walk fro Clarkes beach and 15 min walk from the centre of town (for us this wasn't a problem at all).
Having been here with my partner on a number of occasions, I feel that Malemajulius's review below is inaccurate. For Byron prices this is not overpriced at all and it has always been very clean whenever we go. Perhaps he/she was having a bad day...
Booked from the net for the two nights accommodation at Cape View. Loved it. Found it very reasonable and everything we needed was there. High up so beautiful breeze most of the time. Owners great to deal with. Would recommend
overpriced for what you actually get. Really need to consider getting professional cleaners in the place is filthy. Killed 2 roaches as i walked in the door.
Owners are friendly is about the only positive thing i can come up with.
Cape View Guesthouse is a lovely family run B&B. John and Deb were very welcoming and offered advice on pet friendly beaches and restaurants in Byron Bay. The accommodation is about a 15 min walk into town, which did not bother us, but is something to keep in mind when booking.
A highlight was the super comfortable bed and the lovely view of the lighthouse from the back.
