Everything is perfect. Host is great. Housekeeping is nice. Room is very spacious. Breakfast is more than enough. A bit far from ud ( if u walk) but if u know how to ride motorcycle there's nothing to worry. I love this place
It was very lucky that I found this place in Udon Thani. The villa was very cleaned and looked like traditional Thai room.(I like this kind of villa style personally) The staff provided excellent service and they will do whatever you want. The host lady is speaking English perfectly and trying to help us many things in UD. I enjoyed free "American Style breakfirst" also. Of course they provided free internet service include WIFI and the speed was awesome. I know the location of this villa is a little far from UD town, but it shouldn't be any problem due to the host lady will pick up for you anywhere upon your request. I already miss there and will stay in "Bodhi Villa" if I will visit there again. Thanks Waraporn (The host lady) for all you did for us.
Booked this hotel based simply on the 2 reviews, & am glad I did. It is like staying in a private home, with 5 boutique hotel rooms, which are all tastefully & attractively decorated. Entire facility is done in Thai style, with lovely polished wood & tile flooring throughout, covered patio & outdoor dining area for wonderful al fresco morning breakfast. Also nice to be allowed to pick the time you want to eat & be served individually. No cold buffet serving lines at this place. It is a little out of the way, but since the hotel provides complimentary airport transfers it is not a problem. Will also provide transfers if you arrive by bus or train, since both stations are quite close. Gladly took us to the very nearby night market shopping center area, which is filled with Western, Thai, Japanese etc. style eateries of your choosing, & a quick 10 minute $2 tuk-tuk ride back to the hotel. Quiet area for good sleeping on wonderful beds, which I agree, were the best we had in Thailand, including our 5 star Bangkok hotel. Would stay here again without hesitation, & hope the owner continues to expand her property, for those travelers who seek a more traditional Thai experience & atmosphere, which this place certainly provides. A very positive experience.
This is an unusually nice hotel in Udon, which otherwise has some pretty average places to stay. Rooms are tastefully decorated with wood floors and walls, very Thai. Bathroom was spacious and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time.
The price is more than one would normally pay in Udon but it really was worth it.
Location is a bit out of the way, definitely out of walking range to the Central Plaza area but I got there on a motorbike in 10 minutes. The out of the way location, however, makes for a very quiet and peaceful experience.
WiFi was fast but you will get a faster connection if you're close to the reception area.
Staff was very gracious and helpful
I will be staying here on all future visits to Udon.
Booked a stay at Bodhi Villa at short notice as we travelled back to Udon Thani from Khao Yai and what a piece of luck finding this gem of a 'hotel'. Well not so much of a hotel as a stay in a family home with the treatment you receive here! Staff are friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble but balanced with allowing you privacy as well. Rooms surprisingly big with a large lounge area, comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Checked into Room 1 on arrival but the next day the staff moved us into room 4 - not because we had a problem the with room but because the hotel was quiet during our stay and the owner thought we would prefer the new room! Both were perfectly acceptable although the bathroom in room 4 was bigger!
Breakfast is Thai or American, no serving time restrictions and eat as much as you like with coffee/tea that arrives when you ask for a top up.
The owner is wonderfully engaging and happy to chat about her lovely hotel and business. The friendly and can do attitude even extended to allowing my Thai partner - who loves to cook and does so for a business - into the kitchen to prepare Som Tam and seafood dishes for the staff and ourselves one evening (what chain hotels allow you do that?!)
Might look a little way out of town but just ask - there's a short cut that gets you into Udon central in minutes!
If you visit In and around Udon ditch the mundane and soulless concrete edifices and try this gem out.
