My husband and I stayed at Normas initially for 1 night but ended up staying a few more. Polite first class staff, clean rooms and value for money . Situated in the heart of Amman, was right up my street! Normas had romantic feel about it a bit like being in a old movie. the pleasant sounds of hustlel and bustle from the street below. I'm going back again to Amman and I am certianly booking Normas for my accomdation whilst there.
The hotel its not clean, it is located in a dirty area in Amã downtown. Doesnt value the cheap price. The bathroom of my room it wasnt clean, and the room either. As it is located in a crowed area, the traffic's noise is itense, almost 24 hours. It was a bad experience...
We stayed at Normas and used it as a base, as we discovered Jordan. We stayed in the only triple that they had to offer and it was very spacious and clean! The wet room was clean and also quite big, was quite pleased with it as I get quite worried about bathrooms.
The twin room was also good and spacious. The windows were huge and they had air con in all rooma that we stayed in. Great location in downtown, had some noise but when you are in tge middle of a busy city, it should be expected! Staff were helpful and they also stored our luggage when we went away to Petra and Wadi Rum.
Would definitely recommend to budget travellers who are big on cleanliness!
We arrived in Jordan staying at the highly recommended Jordan Tower Hotel - and it was worth the recommendation, but at 30JD a night it was burning too much of a hole in the pocket. We checked out Normas Hotel - and really, we found that the location was livelier (or noisy depending on your point of view). The best part is that it was so easy to tell cab drivers the location - just say Hashem's and they would nod.
As a hotel, the place is in dire need of renovation. But the wifi was free - in the rooms (something that Jordan Tower couldn't provide), and they the rooms were much bigger. We stayed in several different rooms as we went back and forth through the duration of our stay in Jordan. We always asked for fresh sheets - and well, had to ask for things like soap, towels etch all the time. It isn't much to ask and they always gave. The bathroom gave hot water all the time. Was it a bit grimy? Yes. The second floor had a hookah bar that seemed mainly popular with men, and that gave the hotel a rather seedy look. But really, for 15JD I will take it. Completely safe. Would I go back? Yes.
