This is not good place to stay, and my advice try to avoid. Reasons? Simple basic things are not done properly, e.g. room remain uncleaned for up to 3 days, untill I called the manager to check for himself. He was apologetic and promised never to happen, well it did happen again.
Washroom not in good condition, and yes, this is my second room I changed since the first one which had numerous problems. Though promises made to repair the bathroom, yet again never repaired until the end of my stay. Lift tend to get out of service at times and forces you to use stairs instead.
Apart from that, i must say the location is very good.
But for the money I paif, it's not worth to stay there. Just my opinion.
Management is terrible here - owner asked me whether my female students would be open to encounters. My sense was that this is how he impresses his friends. Extremely inappropriate, if not illegal.
"Recent renovation" meant used and mismatched furnishings, recycled cupboards, dirty walls. Conveniently forgot to "turn on" the hot water. Rains meant the hallway had 30-foot long puddles that were not mopped, even after alerting manager, who just shrugged his shoulders.
Will never book this hotel again.
This hotel was as bad as it gets…………..period.
I often stay at budget hotels and do not expect five-stars when I’m paying for two-stars. And I have stayed at a lot of questionable hotels. But this one set a new standard for bad.
In my room………the toilet was broken and could only be flushed by removing the top and pulling up the plunger. In the bathroom sink the pipe had broken off from the sink drain so when you turned on the water it drained onto your feet and into a drain in the floor (maybe). In the shower, there not only was no hot water, but there was simply no water.
The internet was broken and was to be repaired the next day. The sheets seemed questionable and I decided to sleep on top of the bed in my clothes.
Upon leaving in the morning……….the elevator had broken down so I walked the steps. The steps, however, were only clear of dirt where people had earlier stepped, otherwise they were filthy.
Then, at the front desk the credit card machine was broken so I had to find cash to pay the bill.
What is amazing to me is that the staff that cleaned the rooms saw the broken toilet and sink and still let me check into the room.
And the management surely knew of the filthy stairway that guests occasionally use.
All of this said (and it is a lot!), the hotel is in a great location for shopping and restaurants and the staff were very nice.
So choose the location…..but look for a different hotel.
I chose the hotel because it was only a few meters to what I traveled to Amman for.
The hotel is not expensive but very old. It has been a while since I saw a hotel like this.
The rooms are very old and gloomy, the doors are just like in 70s movies.
The bed is not very comfy and too small to fit an adult.
The sheets and room amenities are not that clean. All is old fashion.
The bathroom is a bit small, and the flow of the shower is not so good, but the bathroom has its own separate electric water heater that you can activate upon need.
But the staff are very friendly.
The internet is free and fine but with a lot of interruptions.
I had a very unpleasant problem with this hotel. I booked via booking.com to pay upon arrival. This is what I did. I paid in hotel's local currency upon arrival, 1 week later, I receive an email from booking.com that they are charging me for no-show.
I have been trying to resolve this issue since then.
You can avoid this by keeping the receipt with you.
Its very convenient. Located near the 7th circle and not far from the Baraka mall. Its actually a less than 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Friendly staff and there is a restaurant just outside the hotel which offers a wide selection from their menu and closes late. Be assured you will not sleep hungry. The only bad thing I encountered is that the beddings were dirty. They had not been changed from the previous check out.
Will come back again. You offer the best rates in town.
But all in all I would recommend someone to stay in the hotel.
