A city hotel to escape the hustle and bustle of city. Centrally located. Convenient to access most of the city locations through taxi. Stay - Good. Location - Good. Management - Good. Food - Average. Poor Wifi.
A city style hotel without all the noise and hustle a bustle. The rooms are a little small, but s a good base to have. Located half way down from the university, 3min walking distance from a small bakery / ice cream parlor, donut shop and ATM. 20min walk from an entrance to inya lake going past rowing clubs. Adequate enough buffet breakfast: Rice, a veg option and a fish/mat option, cereals, a fruit for the day and chinesse style soup, eggs available to order from the kitchen. Nice, friendly staff. Hotel can call you a taxi. Ride to pagodoa about 2500kyt, tow about 3000kyt ($3 USD). Pleasantly surprised by the hotel.
I personally asked my man in Yangon to go down to the hotel, check the rooms and book there. But on the arrival, they gave me the room, lonelily located in the front of the porch yard and entrance where we could hear every car or any other guests passed by. We requested for a quiet room on the second level and they promised for it, but ended up in a room, which seemed to be a guard house, I suppose. What they replied was, because they were fully booked so, they were not able to give us the room we wanted. My hub visited the hotel four days earlier and already booked it, and yet they were like nothing happened. And even one of the receptionists told me that if you were not satisfied with the room, we can fully refund you. OMG !!! it was 9 pm at night and we will be moving on to another city the day after. Where am i gonna go find a new hotel at this hour?
Pros: new furniture, nice bed, clean bathroom. Must be a new hotel.
Breakfast was ok. but the fried noodle was really really salty.
