Villa Dukuh is the absolute best place I have ever had the privilege of staying in. I can’t think of any negative comment to make at all. The staff were amazing, and the place felt like home almost immediately. Gede was the ultimate guide for ANYTHING we needed. No request was too hard… he even arranged someone to go into the village to bring us some coconuts as per my kids’ request. The meals were amazing and so well presented and organised on time. Our group consisted of 3 adults, a teenager, and 2 seven year olds. Everyone felt catered to individually of their needs and all of us had the best time.
It is quite remote, and that’s another reason we loved it. It was so difficult to ever want to go anywhere. When we did have to venture out, we always had a driver or drivers available.
The infinity pool was beautiful and the view to the valley rainforest was stunning.
Villa Dukuh was quite simply, perfect. We plan on bringing all of our family in the future.
We stayed in Villa Dukuh over the Christmas period, and what can we say, but thank you thank you. Our family dynamic can be tricky, but Gede and his team took it all in their stride and nothing was too much trouble. The villa itself is beautiful, with lovely bedrooms with mosquito nets (essential!) beautiful pool and, although the tennis court is a workout on its own to get there, it was a bonus. But the main attraction of this villa is the way the staff handle your every need - our daughter had a scooter accident and Nopa was there for us during night visits to hospitals etc. Gede coordinated all the paper work and even returned our phone to us after we had left the villa! As for Christmas Day, all was beautifully laid out with flowers in the morning and then we had roast turkey by the pool in the evening with a beautifully decorated table with such an effort to make our Christmas very special. Rika produced the most beautiful meals for us, accommodating a lot of fussiness between us! We were sad to leave the villa, but even more sad to leave the staff who had become our best friends. Thank you to you all.
where to begin.... WOW!! WHAT A PLACE!!! great for family reunions, friends n little children.
First the staff: with Gede in charge - him, our main chef, Rika, all-in-one Nopa, Made, wow - and 3 more whose name i forget... all were great at their care for us, driving us around, cooking and making our children feel safe and totally friendly!!! KUDOS TO THEM!!!
Its on the way to Tanah Lot - Nyambu village, before Pan Pacific Golf course. 10 min bike ride from Echo beach tourist area. The village is laid back, rice paddys all around and quiet. The villagers are so helpful. Their surroundings so clean!!!
A walk in the small streets, to the small shops for a beer on the shack right on the street... and wow!!!
The rooms are SPACIOUS!!! THE FOYER, THE LAYOUT OF THIS VILLA IS PERFECT!!!
Must warn: the traffic during high season can get very very slow. Once there - surely to use the bikes is a practical option. Once exited into the village, the roads are very bad... a 5 min ride to the villa location takes 15 mins... blame it on the Bali rains. Roads are unkept. But once in the villa - all is forgotten.
The plan to play tennis must be atleast serious enuf to use the huge steps that lead to it; but its worth every step!!! ENJOY and have some refreshments arranged in advance so they can prepare n bring it down to you. Great exercise.
