When it comes to value for money this little place in Laoag City takes the cake! Great staff, very friendly and helpful coupled with tight security provides a safe clean haven.
We stayed there with five family children and thoroughly enjoyed our four-day break.
Ten-minute walk to the Mall where we were able to find anything and everything we wanted during our stay. If it's safety, friendliness and budget you want I highly recommend the Farm Side Hotel Laoag City Iloco Norte
room is about 12m² with the bathroom not 17m². beds are definitely not queens they are short doubles queens wouldn't fit in the room. It says it is in Laoag proper but it's in a side street of another town. Hotel policy states that kids are free but they charged me 300 per child including my baby who is less than 2 months. they have 3 wifi of which none work. staff aren't friendly at all. they did notify me though that the policy for check out is if you are one minute over you have to pay full day (like they are more than half full lmao) theres not much reception/signal only 2g here. I've had better stays in backpacker locations. rooms were not the cleanest but it's what I expected after the rest.
We (two couples) did stay here for three nights; very pleasant and quiet rooms, with good beds and reasonable bathing room. Airco (not unimportant at almost 40 degrees C)) did the job, although rather noisy. Also: great staff, low prices, good breakfast (not included). Security is present 24/7. Farm Side is situated in the middle of an average Fillipino district, and the main street (with Robinson's big mall just behind it) is close but you won't hear it.
A place to come again.
Walking distance of the big mall, nice and quiet. I will stay here again..cheap too.
The food is great , the rooms are clean. not far, walking distance is a laundry for
washing , we had a one day tour of the windmills from there, The museum is worth seeing,
