Although i didn't have any problems with staff or booking, the room was dirty and the furniture was in poor shape. The remote didn't even have a back to it and the base board heaters along the elks were falling apart. There was also a red stain in the carpet. I do not plan on revisiting this hotel.
First, king of Prussia is a very short distance, with a few hotels priced nearly the same as this one. People live here, sell drugs here, prostitute here, and it's basically a seedy spot in a seedy town so don't expect much. The rooms are half decent and no hotel is ever going to REALLY have clean carpeting. But the problem I have is the owners are constantly making up prices out of thin air. I called to make a reservation and they told me one price and then the lady at the window tries to jack it up another price. Also they try and tell you they have no rooms left EXCEPT for the Jacuzzi room at $150 a night. Would I really pay that much to stay in Norristown when I don't even have a bathroom counter or clean sheets and crackheads outside my door? Stay someplace else!!!
Unless you're a hopeless alcoholic,a crack head or just plain psychotic- you want to stay someplace else. But on the plus side if you enjoy the company of AIDS infected junkies or don't have any money to eat with your in luck. The cocaine prostitutes are abundant and many live right there in the motel itself. Soup kitchens are in walking distance so you won't go hungry after a hot ten minutes of unprotected sex. Parking is no problem because most "guests" walk or take the bus to get to the welfare office. You might consider bringing a weapon with you, II suggest pepper spray or CS gas if you don't want to bring along a gun. All in all if you're a respectful, practical person it would be best advised to book a room in nearby King Of Prussia. But if you feel comfortable in the ghetto by all means indulge. Just remember this: You have been warned!
