Welcome to the Bats Motel. And yes, there were bats in the roof and a gap in the ceiling in one of the corridors made our stay even more spooky as we could hear them screaming. Frogs hopped in the downstairs corridors after the rain. Safety deposit boxes in our rooms didn't work, nor could I lock my door except on the inside. Staff were not interested in putting this right. The rooms were huge and reasonably comfortable but a bit spartan. ( I was in a 'de luxe' and my son and family were in a family room). The restaurant menu was hilarious - most items were not available and we were informed with a very abrupt 'no!' But the thing that got us all was how empty it was - long long corridors with hardly any guests. We saw only two other groups - apart from the bats. Entrance and reception area are impressive - it all goes downhill after that. We were there to take the kids to Dai Nam Park - which was hugely disappointing too. Best bit of our trip was going to a nearby Pizza Hut in Binh Duong. Made us really appreciated the great places to eat and stay in Vietnam.
