We had an enjoyable long weekend at Altomira. It was crowded as it was a holiday weekend but still never felt a lack of privacy in the cabina.
Nice staff and store on premises. Town was a short walk as was the Salto de la Novia. Via Verde accessible from the Camp Ground.
2 bedroom cabin was smaller than expected. But sufficiently equipped.
On site bike shop was very helpful.
Would come back with the kids again
Stayed here several times on our winter tours always a friendly welcome and nice tidy pitches with good facilities restaurant with good food and this time going to look around the local area and stay longer
Situated right next to the Via Verde. Lovely cycling in beautiful countryside. Plenty of off road and cycle lanes to nearby towns, all pitches have water, electric and waste, making for a convenient stay. Would highly recommend it, helpful multi lingual staff.
Good camping ground for active people but steep & small pitches and therefore not recommended for larger vehicles. However everything else is quite perfect! Good & cheap Restaurant and good lavatories. Small town & waterfall nearby! For hiking trips perfect!
We turned up with our Celtic Rambler Fifth Wheeler, 8 5m long, attached to our Toyota Hilux. The very nice lady on reception advised us to take a walk and look around. Although it was an extremely steep incline upto the campsite, we thought we would give it a go. However, when we actually got to the pitches, we found them far too narrow and very difficult to manoeuvre our rig onto the space. We went back to reception and asked if there was any possibility we could park up by the statics. We were told as we had arrived on a Monday, it would be fine as long as we were gone by Friday, when the locals would be turning up for the weekend.
So we could plug in and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days stay as it was lovely and quiet where we were with no one else around. And we had a great meal at the restaurant with the best white wine.
Thanks to the site for being so flexible in allowing us to park up.
