I spent in the hotel two days with my three children in an apartment, expecting to enjoy visiting Bardenas; unfortunately our experience was much below our expectation.
The 'hotel' is next to a very noisy road, accesible only when driving towards Cascante (otherwise you have to drive ahead and u-turn). Wifi did not work for me on my iPhone (the hotel claimed it worked for the rest of the world and offered me no solution).Apartments have no shadow and it is very uncomfortable to be outside under the sun (not to mention flies and bugs). The parcel is small and heavily walled (resembling more the facilities of a refugee camp than an expensive hotel). Worst of all, we could not book any bike activities at the hotel to visit Bardenas as we wished (they kindly gave us the number of a suitable bike business in another village).
Most of the advertised activities/sightseeing suggested in their website are wonderful and worth a trip to Navarra. However, they are mostly unrelated to the hotel and they do not help you at all to enjoy them; I'd suggest many other alternative accommodation to enjoy Navarra more conveniently (and inexpensively).
I was so disappointed on my first day, that I wanted to move to another hotel; they would not let me cancel my second night (the penalty was to pay it fully). Their lack of empathy and help further ruined my stay.
After the stay I discovered that the website announces a 10% discount for big families like mine (familia numerosa), and asked for it. They replied that the discount is only valid for phone/email bookings; apparently it does not apply to direct bookings in their website (or other webs). I am further disappointed with their poor customer service and will forward a complain to our local authorities.
The hotel apartments are very nice, comfortable and spacious; and the art inside is great. It is a shame that this quality is not matched by the service and attitude of the owner. I wish they improve their services to reach the level of most hotels in Navarra.
