Small simple hotel in Potes, very friendly staff, it seemed like a family run hotel (although I don’t think it is) and the staff really went out of their way to help, however it is a little understaffed.
I called in the afternoon to warn that we were arriving late and nobody answered the phone, checked later on arriving and the number we called was correct …
Having said that when we did arrive the staff were really friendly and helpful. There is no parking but they let us leave the motorbike in the unloading zone (right opposite the Guardia Civil so it shouldn’t get stolen)
Room was OK, a twin not a double, rather simple but we slept well.
Hotel is well located in the centre and the restaurant recommendations from the front desk were very good!
Breakfast (included) was simple but abundant.
We arrived in Potes to find that some kind of festival was in full flow.....
Many places we tried were full but eventually we found accommodation at the Arha. It wasn't great and I particularly remember the sqeaky floorboards.
On a more positive note, it was clean and reasonable value for money. However, I'd want to try elsewhere next time.
A modern hotel, the room was good, as was breakfast which was all included. The staff were extremely helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate our bikes.Very good value. Really central location and worth knowing that it has a car-park close by.
Stayed here for one night after unexpectedly finding myself back in Potes in the middle of a walking tour of the Picos de Europa. I paid 45 euros for B&B at the "walk-in" low-season rate. The hotel was perfectly fine and suited my needs, but my room was fairly small and not quite as smart as, somehow, the outside of the hotel had led me to expect it would be. The breakfast (choice and quantity) was a little on the limited side. The hotel is very centrally located in the lovely old town of Potes.
