I'll start with the good. The room was decently sized, fairly clean, and the hardwood floors were nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, the air conditioning works really well. For the week that my partner and I stayed there it did it's job and we were mostly comfortable.
However, the walls are paper thin and the place was extremely noisy. Into the late hours of the evening we could hear our neighbors screaming racial slurs and threats at each other, slamming doors, throwing things around, and it doesn't really seem like the manager or any of the workers here feel compelled to do a thing about it. Multiple times a day our door was knocked on by random strangers, whether they actually lived here or were just wandering by we could never really tell. Our sheets were permanently stained with blood, the floors feel dirty and we didn't even feel comfortable walking around in bare feet on them, and at one point when we left to go to the grocery store there was an exterminator's truck parked out back loading up furniture, so that didn't give us much peace of mind. Again, I would like to reiterate the constant screaming and fighting neighbors. The internet connection was awful and cut out more often than it was reliable.
On top of all of that, I wasn't originally booked at this hotel. The one I was originally booked at closed down for health reasons and my reservation was transferred to this one. I had already paid in full there and was assured that I would not have to pay again once I came here. However, I discovered several days later that in addition to having paid in full for the first hotel, I was also charged by the manager here for this one, $500 dollars each payment. This may have been an honest mistake but when I called the first hotel for a refund I was told that the manager at the Quality Inn had been told not to charge me and was to even be given a check covering the costs of everyone that would be transferring over to this hotel. Altogether, it's difficult for me to have any trust in this hotel and I can guarantee I won't be returning.
The accessible room has a huge bathroom with a roll in shower. The bed is ok as far as comfort goes. The breakfast is good, but nothing to write home about. The location was good for us as it was close to two ball diamonds for the cactus league. The biggest disappointment was with how dirty the floors were. After your shower you left black foot prints on the floor and the bottoms of your socks were black if you did not wear shoes The room had great wifi
Housekeeping was sloppy, floor was dirty, furniture stained. But the worst was that my wedding and engagement rings were stolen from a box in my suitcase. We went to a pool party our friends place and I don’t wear my rings in the pool. So I packed them in a box and put it in my suitcase with clothes over it. Needless to say, this was not a wise decision. Housekeeping had not been in our room prior to our leaving to go to the pool party. I’ll let you all draw your conclusions from there. Police were called, crime scene dusted for prints. We got an “I’m sorry this happened” from the manager, paid our (entire) four day bill and left. It has been 12 days and as of yesterday the police still did not have the security footage from the hotel.
Much cheaper than what you typically see at $76/night. Area seemed perhaps “a little sketchy”. Never been to Mesa before but hotel was close to locations we were visiting, quality in name only! Bathroom was kinda rundown-toilet loose from floor, toilet seat loose, walls kinda beat up, vanity faucet plumbed backwards, hot water sparse. Multiple light switches did not seem to work or we couldn’t figure out what they worked. Seating area upholstery stained. Coke machine wouldn’t take dollars, had to use refund button on snack machine to get quarters to feed coke machine. Would not recommend.
I booked a room for one night stay. Checked in and went to the room, which was filthy! beds were unmade, TV was on, a pile of towels was in the middle of the bathroom floor, dirty q-tips and cigarette butts were on the floor, trash was overflowing. Needless to say, I did NOT stay and drove home with two little girls in tow. I DO NOT recommend this location! Just hope I get my money back.
