Cheap and cheerful beds to sleep in and clean what more do you need excellent situated to everything didn't use the pool but looked lovely and clean all in all would stay in there again best family bar around just on the door step called harry potters excellent food
I stayed here last summer with my husband and 2 children. It is true check in is a pain as you have to go down the road where a communal reception area gives you the key. The rooms are ok for budget accommodation, and is just what I expected, spacious and the washing machine came in handy. There is a bar below the hotel where the staff are friendly and happy to help with any queries, however this bar isnt a part of the hotel. No air con was available but wasnt so hot in sept.
The loud quiz nights are fun, but go on til 11-12 in the evening. But it only effected us as our room was right above the pub, the hotel is massive and if located on the other side it wouldnt be a problem. The pool is spacious but no inflatables are allowed and we found it cold. Its an all round good budget hotel, and is very secure with iron gates, however the patio/balcony doors were unreliable at locking
I cant comment on service as I never saw any staff apart from the office down the street
We stayed at the sevilla apts from 09/10/2012 till 16/10/2012.the apartments were in a good location, very clean and close to shops bars and the beach .the apts had holliday visitors mixed with local residents and were strict on noise .There was no entertainment at the apts but that was no problem with the local bar near. The apartments had 3 pools.Disadvantage-50 euro per person deposit(refundable if no damage etc) you had to hire toaster, kettle and there was no safe deposit boxes. The pools were allso closed from october.
Salou was starting to close down from mid october so you dont want to book after early october.Transport was cheap and the area was flat(apart from Cape Salou). The weather was nice with the occasional cool wind. .
When I read some of the reviews I took in mind that we were only paying for a cheap stay but after booking these apartments we then found out the following:
You have a 15-20 min walk there and back to an office to collect and return your keys
You have to pay 50 euro deposit per adult
There are no sunbeds provided
There is no TV in the apartment
There is no kettle in apartment
Only small towels are provided
These apartments are residential so no noise after 10pm....thats not a bad thing but this includes just talking on your balcony which I'm reliably infomed brings on a visit/threats from the residents and a scary visit from security men
We rebooked accomodation elsewhere after finding all this out so beware as we just had to pay an extra £154.00 but its worth it to have an enjoyable holiday.
ok, now pay attention, bring a suitcase full of money. you will need it.
salou businesses are very clever, they knw we will cave in and pay the petty prices they charge.
no return tickets for city bueses to take you around salou or to the parks. if you have a family of 4 and on the way to the theme park by bus. its going to be very hefty and silly to pay the price. 3 euro each way. and 40 euro per adult to the park. once you go in, your in good mood till u start to see sum of the shops and rides are close depending on time of the year. BIGGEST DISAPPIONTMENT. i expect wen you pay for a ticket regardless of how quite. all rides should be operational. or either close the park and open it will make the desired business.
dont opt for a taxi, they take you the long way around. they do. trust me on that.
apt cordobas is a great building, but as for the rules and spain being double standard. dont put up with it, boy cott it. expsoe salou for what it really is, a gold digging money robbing country.
went to the water park. paid the 26 euro for it, and again, half the place was only open, another disappointment. then you must pay 9.60 for a measly meal. no other choices of food, just a small menu of meals for 9. 60. and the staff are the most rude, obnoxious dont give a f**K attitude, only wen it suits them to blow their whistle just cuz u made a wee splash.
dolphin show was 5 mins, as oppose to 40 mins on previos trip i made earlier. they do rob you of your value for money. close the park earlier and that robs you of having to enjoy the day shorter and quicker.!! not good. close up if your closing early.!!!
great food, and great prices. explore around. if you find the price to high. dont cave in.
also if your gonna avail of port aventura. try to get there as early as you can, its a big park lots to do,. and expensive. annoying wen sum of the rides are close. and even more annoying wen you wanna make a complaint to a supoervisor. (good luck if you can find one)
again, bring lots of money. if you wanna survive comfortbly.
