Chiedete l'appartamento all'ultimo piano dello stabile con terrazzo vista mare e spazi e qualità notevoli.
aanrader!!!
Apartment Markov is a great place to use as a base while traveling around Zadar and other nearby areas. It's a large 3 or 4 story house that was recently built or renovated so the rooms are updated and clean. Markov is run by a lovely German couple who speak very litte English, but that still didn't stop them from sharing a glass of wine and a cup of coffee when we first arrived. They stay in the very bottom floor apartment and don't bother you at all, but are readily available if you need any advice on where to go or how to get somewhere.
Finding apartments in Zadar was difficult if you try to prepare ahead of time. Most hotels are located in an area called Borik about 2.5 miles away from Zadar. If you want to wing it you can arrive from a boat there will be lots of people holding pictures of their apartments and you can try to choose one that way and hope that you're not wasting your time. Markov is located in Diklo in a residential neighborhood which is right next to the Borik. The water is literally a 5 min. walk away. It's not the greatest "beach", but it's still nice to be so close to the water. There are lots of facilities close by. A club/bar is almost a 10 min. walk (you can't hear the noise from the apt) and there are lots of restaurants close by. Sime pizza is the best pizza we had in Croatia! Driving into the city centre of Zadar takes about 10 min. We also took day trips to Plitivice, Uglijan, and Pag which were easy to do (with a car).
We originally chose to stay in Naomi, but I wouldn't recommend this room if you're claustrophobic. The sleeping area is upstairs in an A-frame room and there is very limited standing room. I think at it's lowest point the ceiling is around 3-4 ft. tall. Kids would probably like it, but we found it too crammed so we moved to Liljiana. This was a 2 bedroom apartment, with a big comfy balcony overlooking the Borik. The central room has A/C and the kitchen is equipped with dishes, pots, satellite cable and bed linens. You do have to bring your own towels and soap and may even need to pick up your own toilet paper, but other than that it was very clean and bright.
Like most places in Croatia, you have to put down a deposit with a wire transfer. It's a pain and may seem dodgy but that's just how they do it out there. We did the transfer and then confirmed they received it before leaving and all was well.
