Almost everything that could go wrong with our stay here, did go wrong. Location is about the only good thing about this place.
- nobody picks up the phone
- it took them 1 hour to find my (prepaid) reservation
- on-site parking advertised on booking sites does not exist - you're on your own (and street parking is very difficult in this area)
- room type (bed configuration) didn't match at all what was sold to me
- Wi-Fi barely worked
- No hot water in the bathroom sink
When you arrive in Santiago after a long flight the hotel is a perfect place to acclimitize. Lovely place to relax. Gina runs it and speaks good english. It's in the centre of all points of interest. Oke
The only positive is its central location, 2 blocks east of Plaza de Armas. The apartments are very small. The pictures are misleading. The furniture is very basic. The kitchen is small and poorly equipped. WiFi was not reliable. It seems that this company rents a number of apartments in the building and 'resells' them to tourists and visitors on a daily basis. They have no control over any of the building amenities. The rooftop pool was closed by the building management, and no one knew when it would reopen. The office is located in an apartment on the 2nd floor and is open only 9am-6pm. No service available after 6pm.
OMG if you could see this dump you would know what I mean. How does this place rate 3 stars? It is filthy - period. The under counter fridge doesn't even work. There is no soap. The towel rack is broken. The furniture? Well, let's see, there isn't much of any. The linens...disgusting. I am only here for one night thank goodness and will sleep with my clothes on and eyes & ears open. Oh, did I mention the balcony door doesn't lock, and the traffic noise is unbearable. I have an early flight so will tough it out.
Don't stay here, that's all I can say - unless your other option is sleeping on a park bench.
One positive note: the desk staff did not speak any English but did try their best to help me call a taxi for the morning.
