5 of us stayed in 3 separate apartments in November 2013. It is a few paces from the beach. Parking is expensive due to pressure of numbers and not included. The promenade and beach were delightful - ice cream hot dogs and eateries, plus miles of golden sands. A family venue. Because it is in the tropics the exterior (and interior) were a bit weather beaten, but there were 2 uncrowded pools and BBQ areas, sun loungers etc. The apartments were self contained, fridge/freezer, stove pots and plates,32 inch TV and all had aircon. Some are single story and you do not therefore have people above you which can be a noise problem - furniture moving about etc. there was music by the pool - not something that I like normally, but it was an eclectic mix from the 70's and 60's and quite nice! You cannot hear it inside and it stops at 10 pm. Breakfast (included) was all you can eat and plentiful.
I would go back for a long stay if I could find a "deal" and would not hire a car as you really do not need it. To sum up - in need of tlc, great location, relaxing pools, friendly staff, small shop on site, and quiet at night.
Hollywood beach hotels is NOT as advertised. I am currently booked here from 29/11-6/12 this place is terrible. First what you see is only 1 of there 6 properties on the road side. The put me in the Flamingo 1 of they 6 properties. There is NO wifi in the room, the sheets were full of sand, the room smells of mold, there is No patio or big screen TV and breakfast is serve in the reception area. The staff is friendly but not helpful. Worst stay right now.. Looking to leave will count my loses on this one. Never again.
