Just returned from a 3-week trip (dental tourism) to Veracruz. First week spent at Hilton Garden Inn and last two weeks at this delightful hotel.
I originally booked a room, but was upgraded to an Executive Suite for only $6 (American) more. The two-room suite overlooked the water with THREE (yes 3) small balconies, refrigerator, microwave, bathtub (found that not many hotels here offer those), exceptional cleanliness, excellent service, and a welcoming, accommodating staff.
There was always someone at the front desk who spoke English and any employees who did not, were graciously accepting of Google Translate. Pool area was immaculate.
There is not much beach in front, but all you need do is walk a bit in either direction, should you wish to lay out a towel or set out a lounger for the beach. There are many great eating establishments within walking distance and 'cabs a plenty.'
The only minor drawback is that when you want ice, you must take your ice bucket to the bar to get it.
This is a very comfortable modest hotel located right on the Gulf. It is in a very good location with plenty of options all very close walking distance to restaurants and places to get a drink.
The employees really take pride in making you fell very welcome.
