Unfortunately, I stayed there with my partner for 3 nights in June. The room is horrible, very small and ''empty''. The very poor furniture makes you not to feel comfortable at a very expensive price. The WC it is something difficult to use since the sink is placed just in front and very close to it! The hair dryer is missing, but this is just nothing on top of the others ....
We really hoped that the breakfast would compensate for this unpleasant accomodation, but not surprisingly, it is extremly poor and you have to pay a real breakfast in other places if you'd like to start the day in an appropriate way.
The staff is not helpfull at all since you will not have the chance to meet somebody or opportunity to get a map or basic information about the city, transport etc.....
We strongly recommand avoiding this place if you want to enjoy the beautiful Oslo!!!
we stayed at the sister hotel on Bygdoy Alle. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of positives given the website suggested something much better.
We had a one bedroom apartment which was EXTREMELY spartan - white walls, no pictures, extremely basic IKEA furniture everywhere. Shower was inexplicably difficult to get into and out of given that had they placed the sink a few inches away, it would have offered much more room to manoeuver.
In an apartment as large as this was, we requested a campbed for a friend to stay one night and we were refused (even with the possibility of an increased charge).
Beware, checking in can be a problem - you ideally have to arrive between certain hours as there is no on-site staff for much of the day. The website also promised a washing machine - so we packed lightly, only to find there was no machine in our apartment.
Hot water ran out completely once one of us had showered.
In a city like Oslo, I would have expected so much better. This was a real let down unfortunately.
I reserved a room in this hotel online on april 29th ( for 2 nights may 4-6 ) .
The website says: " We will not charge you any reservation fees for processing this reservation. Your credit card will not be charged by our reservation system. You will pay the total of your stay at Park Apartments Pilestredet."
However, for some reason they charged my credit card while I was on my way , and had some problems . Therefore just few hours before my arrival they sent me an email ( which I , obvlously, couldnt read becouse I was travelling) that they have cancelled my reservation.
I had few credit cards, but we actually intended to pay cash - However, we couldnt do it , as we were standing in wind and cold with all our suitcases on the Oslo street in front of the appartment house . just to find out that our reservation was cancelled few hours ago.
We spent the rest of the day looking for accomodation ( very difficult if you have a foreign phone, and no internet access + the lugage) . We finally payed a fortune and our city trip was totally ruined.
My friends were all angry at me- they have spent much more money and lost an entire day while searching new accomodation.
I do NOT recommend anyone to book at this hotel .
We (party of four) spent 2 nights in a s bedroom suite in Park Apartments, Pildestreet 57 in Oslo. This being the first time to stay in a hotel without visible staff, I was somewhat concerned before, but everything worked out just fine!
The booked suite was quite nice and comfortable. However, some minor things, which can easily be improved (like a curtain in the shower, better breakfast and some driving directions or a map in order to find the parking) would make it a perfect place.
The apartments are in walking distance to the center, but also with public transport nearby.
good value for money, good location, some improvements possible (and easy to be realised).
I would clearly recommend the hotel!!
