Chan has a wonderful guesthouse. It's located right in the Haeundae Market but is so quiet and peaceful inside. A traveler himself, Chan is friendly and keen to share experiences. If you like Indian decor this place will be heaven for you because it is clear Chan loves the subcontinent.
The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean and the common room delightful. This will be my place to stay whenever I return to Busan.
Oh and it is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach
Chan is super nice, helpful and friendly. He's traveled to India multiple times hence the decorations. There's bread and coffee for breakfast. My friends and I stayed in the 8 bed female dorm. Very clean and there is a lot of room. Location is right above the food market and very close to the beach and subway station. Very homey and calming. Definitely recommend this place.
I was really impressed by how the guest house was run by Mr.Chan. You can see that he is very talented in designing the interior of the house, making it very cozy, homely and special. English signs in the house made things easier to understand. Chan is also very delicate in meeting needs of tourists, providing things such as toiletries, breakfast, wifi and tourist maps. Chan is also a very helpful person who will not hesitate to recommend places of interest and directions to tourists. I particularly love the indian music played in the bathroom :) The location of the house is also perfect for tourists who loves the beach and street food as it is right in the middle of Haeundae Market and a 5mins walk to Haeundae Beach. My stay in Chan's guesthouse has been awesome and i would definitely stay there again if im visiting Busan again.
At first it would be surprising that you need to get through a small passage behind the door in between seafood restaurants just less than 5 mins walk from Haeundae beach. But the place is quite cozy with Indian (I guess) atmosphere (they even have a sitar!), and the owner is very helpful and speaks English very well.
We came there for short night stay due to take morning train, so not much to say about other service but I think they will not disappoint you. Highly recommended for tight budget.
Bonus feature: you can enjoy Indian music while using the toilet :)
this homely guesthouse is run by talented chap- Mr Chan.
dorm style with only 1 bathroom.
light sleepers beware -
only night time you can hear the pop pop sound of rice cracker shop making their rice crackers... you can taste street food every evening... all the aunties (cooks) have well groom hairstyles.
