If you find yourself having to go to Cheongju, and you want to stay somewhere close to the bus station, do yourself a favor and avoid the Reeho.
While the rooms are pretty standard and the beds are clean and fresh, they failed my test for hotels on three fronts - the TV is pay per view even for the most basic channels, and it's not as if the room rate is on the low side - nope, you fork over 80000 won (about 80 dollars) for a night in a single room. Secondly, the advertised wi-fi was not there, instead I had to connect via Ethernet cable, which meant sitting at the desk instead of being able to prop myself in the bed and browse. Finally, while there was a kettle and cups and spoons, there was no supply of either coffee or tea available and I had to walk to the nearest convenience store to get some drinks.
OK - I know I said finally, but there were some other problems as well. For instance, the closest convenience store is quite a way away, and the hotel is not that close to the bus station - it is a good 15 minutes walk. Oh, and nowhere in the room was there a brochure explaining rules, regulations, who to contact, what's available or any information of any kind.
It seems the hotel functions mainly as a wedding hall, and probably depends on providing either honeymoon suites or places for the guests to stay. But as tourist hotel it has a long way to go.
