We chose to stop over here for two nights during a road trip. The location is fine if you're driving but you'd never find it otherwise.
Contrary to the description there is no restaurant. The breakfast has some hot items but lacks variety and quality.
The rooms are large and nicely equipped but need some serious cleaning--particularly the bath and shower. Rice paddies are nearby and there are many mosquitoes in the early evening. Our rooms were not cleaned before the second night.
Linens were clean and comfortable and the mattress extremely firm. I've come to expect the extremely firm mattresses in Thailand but prefer the hotels that use a nicely padded mattress cover.
The price is low but so is everything in the town so there is little value. Despite this the hotel was full on our send night (Friday). Given the secluded location it may be a "get together"/cheating spouse place ;)
I suggest you look further.
Very nice small hotel (no elevators)with only 27 rooms on three floors, all with balcony. But the room is quite large and very clean. Helpful staff. Breakfast provided, not many items but adequate(no tea, only instant coffee). Totally worth the money. Near big shopping center but you will probably need a car staying here.
This is a small, new budget hotel near Kampangpet which is part of the historical site of Sokotai. It is located off the beaten-path which is an advantage (excellent price, nice, quiet, and friendly place) and a disadvantage (it's a bit far from town so you need some means of transportation). The place is very clean and the price included a fine breakfast (in addition to a continental breakfast and rice porridge it had stir fried vegetable and fruit. The room was spacious and though simple , it had a private toilet, shower, and hot water and being airy, sunny, and bright, did not feel like a budget hotel.
Hotel is new. Location is good as behind BigC and Robinson is nearby.
Room is big enough and very clean. Room rate is very cheap with breakfast included.
Kampangpet is good place for visiting for UNESCO tourist place.
